Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a privately held national retail chain of craft and home decor stores, opens in Athol, Massachusetts, with a ribbon cutting and official grand opening celebration on Monday, January 1. The 9 a.m. grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public.
The Athol store is Hobby Lobby’s third location in Massachusetts. Jim Hallett is the store manager of the 55,000 square-foot retail facility located at Templeton Road
and Orchard Street.
“We are pleased to supply the community’s demand for the one-of-a-kind shopping experience only Hobby Lobby can provide,” stated Kelly Black, Director of Advertising. “Our stores offer the widest variety of craft and home decor merchandise under one roof. There’s something for every family member.”
Hobby Lobby has over 750 stores across the nation. Each store offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making,
scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies. Store hours on New Year’s Day will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Regular business hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
