With the grand opening of Valley Farm Café, Matthew Buzzell – chef, farmer, restaurateur, and (most proudly) father of 6 – brings over 25 years of culinary experience to the Orange Innovation Center. Matthew has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in restaurants across the Northeast – in New York, New Jersey, and at Barre’s own Picasso Restaurant and Bar. Relying on local ingredients (including his own Templeton farm-raised hogs fed with in-house brewery Honest Weight’s spelt), on-site smoking equipment, and a passion for great food, Matthew brings creative and healthy flavors to the area. The retro-style café offers seating for 20, as well as the ability to take your order to-go. The Valley Café’s new fall menu, including a Pumpkin Chai Smoothie and the B.B.L.T. (sliced roasted beets, Applewood smoked bacon, baby arugula, goat cheese, and sun-dried tomato mayo) is sure to satisfy a growing community of regulars and supporters.
