Ellinwood Country Club

18 Hole Golf Course
Opening in 1929, the historic Ellinwood Country Club has flourished in the North Quabbin region, playing an important role in identifying the town of Athol. The club hosts numerous local events, weddings, and everyday functions.

Tully Lake

Tully Lake offers a wide variety of outdoor activities. The 200-acre lake populated with small islands connects to Long Pond and is perfect for boating and fishing. On shore, enjoy the family friendly playground, picnic area, or disc golf course. Hike around the lake and camp right on the shores at the Tully Lake Campground.

Quabbin Reservoir

The Quabbin Reservoir is one of the largest unfiltered water supplies in the United States. It hosts gorgeous scenic views, diverse wildlife, trails, boating, fishing, biking, picnic locations and more along with a rich history.

Bring along a basket from home, stop at one of the region's country stores, or pick up a meal to go from a local eatery, and you've got the makings for a perfect outdoor meal. Stop at an historic town common, the Quabbin Overlook behind the New Salem fire station, or one of the well maintained picnic areas at Laurel Lake Recreation Area in Erving, Ruggles Pond in Wendell, or Tully Lake in Royalston.

Waterfalls

Cascades of water over rocky ledges offer a treat at any time of year. Marvel at icy sculptures in winter, thundering drama in spring, sunny sparkle in summer, and spectacular shows of color during the fall foliage.
